A Entrepreneur’s Self Confidence

As a entrepreneur, there are many obstacles that you face– rejection, failure and the slow growth of your dream company. In order to succeed as an entrepreneur you’ll need resounding confidence. So how do you create the confidence that will propel you past your obstacles?

1. Preparation: You are continually developing your character through everyone you interact with and through how you function during the day. What is your follow-up like after a meeting, or after you make a sale? Do you ask yourself throughout the day, “Am I being the most productive I can right now? Am I moving forward or backward?” Do you focus on the details or surf the internet? As soon as you become complacent, your business will begin to decline.

2. Believe in who you are and your product: Never second-guess who you are or your product. You must always move forward in improving yourself and not comparing yourself to others around you. Most people don’t realize how powerful they become when they don’t have to think during their actions. Where does hesitation come from? Why do we get the feeling of being insecure? Because we don’t prepare enough, study enough, read enough or analyze our thoughts enough. Confidence comes from knowing that we have put in the time and have prepared for success.

You and your product will be tested. The time to develop your confidence is now– today. As Mark Victor Hansen has said, “Don’t wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what. Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful.”

Success is awaiting you. Find it within yourself.
